About the artist

I was born into a military family where my wonderful mother served as an officer and nurse. That being the case, we moved around the country to an ever-changing cast and stage of new friends and schools. Always observing and admiring the art of the diverse cultures of the regions I found myself.
In the early 90's we moved to Bethel, Alaska and finally had a place to call home. Now living and working in Chugiak, Alaska I am fortunate to still call Alaska my home.
At a very young age I realized I really enjoyed building and creating. That passion has never stopped. Over the decades I've tried as many art mediums as I could get my hands on from beading to metal-art welding. I seem to have truly found a home in woodworking and wood turning in particular! Life is about the days between and how we choose to spend them. I choose to create! I have a constant need to grow and experiment and try new things. As a result, you will never see the same creation again once it's gone. Every piece is truly one of a kind. I hope you enjoy my work. I love creating it!
